Her Majesty's Royal TinSoldier

This another oil painting, I did this one last fall. The title should be "Her Majesty's Royal Tin Soldier" but there wasn't enough room to put that last space between Tin and Soldier. This painting is definitely NOT a still life. It's more like a surreal figure drawing. The man in the painting is an actual member of Her Majesty's Royal Guard (I THINK that's what they're called anyway), the guy was at the front of a marching formation that passed me and a friend from my church choir when we were at Windsor Castle in Berkshire, England for our choir tour (we got to sing in St. George's Chapel, the QUEEN'S chapel). The guy kind of reminded me of the Tin Soldier fairy tale so I turned him into the little soldier coming home from a battle with his missing leg. The reddish brown stuff on the soldier is rust. It was a long war.
